Foundation Repair FAQ's

Do you offer warranties?

Yes! Transferable warranties back all major repairs.

The cost depends on the extent of the damage and the repair method needed. After a free inspection, we provide a clear, detailed estimate so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.  We provide flexible solutions that often save thousands compared to competing companies pricing or full replacement.

We minimize impact and restore your landscaping as much as possible.  Foundation repairs can be messy but our team takes pride in taking all necessary steps to not only prep prior to job for a great cleanup but also takes the time necessary at the end of each project to make the site feel as if we were never there.

Most foundation repairs can be completed with minimal disruption. Our crews work efficiently and respectfully, and in many cases, you can remain in your home while we make the repairs. Most structural repairs can even be completed in a single day.

The most common methods include interior/exterior steel piering, crawl space reinforcement and/or wood replacement, polyurethane foam injections to stabilize and lift interior concrete slabs, & drainage solutions such as French drains / and sump pumps..

Minor issues ( hairline cracks, slightly sticking doors)
Moderate issues (large separations, uneven floors) involves poly injections, carbon fiber stitching, or crawl space supports.
Severe settling/shifting requires underpinning with piers.

Usually not, unless the damage was caused by a sudden event (like a plumbing leak or natural disaster). Most policies don’t cover settling or normal soil movement.

Yes, when done correctly with the right method for your soil and home, foundation repair is designed to be a lasting solution. We use proven systems and stand behind our work with strong warranties for your peace of mind.

How do I know if I need foundation repair?

Common warning signs include cracks in walls or ceilings, sticking doors or windows, uneven floors, gaps around baseboards or exterior brick separation. If you notice any of these, it’s a good idea to have a professional inspection to determine the severity.

Most projects are completed in 1–3 days.  We’ll give you a timeline upfront and keep you informed every step of the way.  Most jobs can be scheduled with a week or two from acceptance.

Foundation issues only get worse over time. Ignoring them can lead to more extensive structural damage, higher repair costs, and even safety risks. Addressing the problem early saves money and protects your home’s value.

Common causes include expanding/shrinking soil from moisture changes, poor drainage, tree roots, poor construction, and plumbing leaks.

As soon as you notice warning signs. Waiting can exacerbate the damage and make it more expensive to repair.

At Level Home, honesty is at the core of everything we do. We’ll never recommend repairs you don’t actually need. We started this company because we saw too many homeowners being sold quick fixes or unnecessary work, and we set out to change that.

Crawl Space FAQ's

What are the signs I need crawl space repair?

Sagging floors, cracks in walls, musty odors, and visible water or mold are common red flags.

No. Leveling involves stabilizing floors with new supports, not replacing your entire foundation.

Most projects are completed within 1–3 days.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. All structural work includes a written, transferable warranty.

Every crawl space is different. Factors like size, access, level of damage, and drainage needs affect cost. After your inspection, you’ll receive a fixed-price proposal. Many projects qualify for affordable monthly payments with approved credit.

Poly-Foam Concrete Lifting FAQ's

Concrete Leveling vs. Replacement: Which Is Better?

If your slab is structurally sound but has sunk or shifted, concrete lifting is the smarter choice. It’s faster, cleaner, and significantly less expensive than replacement. Concrete replacement is usually only necessary if the slab is severely broken, crumbled, or beyond repair.  Level Home has the experience to handle either scenario and can walk you through specifics on exactly what is moving and the cause of the movement.

One of the most common questions we hear is, “How long will it last?” The answer: decades. The polyurethane foam we use is designed to be permanent, water-resistant, and stable. It won’t wash out, shrink, or break down over time, meaning your slab stays level for years to come.

Yes! Concrete lifting with polyurethane foam is a safe and proven method. The foam is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and safe for use around kids, pets, and landscaping. Once cured, it’s strong enough to support heavy loads like vehicles, forklifts, and industrial equipment.

Concrete lifting costs vary depending on the size of the slab and the extent of settlement, but it’s generally 50–70% cheaper than replacement. Because every project is unique, we offer free inspections and estimates so you’ll know exactly what to expect before any work begins.

Steel Piers FAQ's

What are steel piers, and how do they work?

Steel piers are heavy-duty shafts driven deep into stable soil or bedrock. They provide a permanent support system to lift and stabilize your foundation, preventing further settling.

Common warning signs include wall or ceiling cracks, sticking doors and windows, uneven floors, and gaps between walls and trim. A professional inspection can confirm if steel piers are the right solution.

Yes. Steel piers reach much deeper than concrete piers, anchoring into stable ground instead of relying on shifting surface soil. This makes them more reliable and longer-lasting.

Often, yes. Steel piers not only stabilize but can also lift the foundation, closing cracks and improving door and window alignment. Results depend on soil conditions and your home’s structure.

Most projects take 1-3 days. Some digging is required, but we restore the area after installation. Any landscaping impact is minimal compared to the long-term protection of your home.

Cost depends on the number of piers and installation complexity. We offer financing options to make repairs affordable and back our work with strong warranties for peace of mind.

Foundation Drainage FAQ's

Why is foundation drainage important?

Poor drainage allows water to collect around your foundation.  Over time, this can cause soil erosion, cracks, basement leaks, and long-term structural damage. Proper drainage keeps water moving away from your home and protects your foundation.

Warning signs include:

Pooling water near the foundation

Damp or musty basement smells

Cracks in walls or floors

Mold or mildew growth

Soil erosion or sinking around the home

Common solutions include French drains, surface drains, sump pumps, and downspout extensions. In some cases, regrading soil around the home may be necessary to direct water away.

A professional inspection will determine the best solution. If water issues are mild, regrading and extending gutters may be enough. For ongoing or severe issues, a drainage system is usually required.

Some digging is required, but our crews work carefully to minimize disruption. Once the system is installed, we backfill and restore the area as much as possible. The benefits of protecting your foundation far outweigh any temporary impact.

The cost depends on the type of system, the size of your home, and the severity of the drainage issue. We provide clear estimates, financing options, and long-lasting solutions that help you avoid expensive structural repairs down the road.
